How to Get Involved: Center for Multicultural Education and Programs

The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs, better known as CMEP, enhances the NYU experience by fostering a more inclusive, aware and socially just community.   The Center offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year, including InterGroup Dialogue, Leadership Programs, Zone Training, and the FOCUS Mentorship Program, to name only a few of the offerings.  If you want to learn more about diversity and social justice, then you should check out CMEP.

Introducing Your Student Senators Council Site Ambassador

The Student Senators Council at NYU has selected a group of your peers studying away in the fall of 2017 as student representatives who will work to improve student life across NYU’s Global Network University. Known as your Site Ambassadors, they will act as a general liaison between students at your site and global programs initiatives in Abu Dhabi, New York, or Shanghai.

Without further ado, we would like to introduce Chelsea Polanco (chelsea.polanco@nyu.edu)

Hi all! I’m Chelsea, a sophomore at NYU Shanghai majoring in Computer Science. I’m from New York, but now I live in Florida. I’m excited to serve as your site ambassador during our time at NYU New York.  Since I’m used to living in the city, I hope to give you all insightful advice about how to adjust and to make the most of your time here. I plan to host events to introduce you to the city, which will also let you meet one another. I’m more than happy to help out with any questions you might have, so feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you all in the fall!
